Blueberries and Doodles

Good Morning!!!
Are you loving the sunshine??? Lovely isn't it?! I could get used to wearing skirts and flip flops.

I am still not fully pc functional **very sad face**.
The building of the new pc hasn't exactly gone to plan and is still in bits all over the dining table **another very sad face**.
But I do have stuff to share today.
I forgot to show this fun LO here that I made during the Cocoa Daisy crop. Loved making this.

I need to remember to use grey bazzill more in future.

I used the Amy Tangerine paper to make this grid and printed my photos to size to fit the squares.

I cut a heart from some Prima paper and used the Cocoa Daisy arrow stamp (below) to make some little embellishments. Adding some glossy accents and inking them.

And then finished off with some stitches here and there.

I've posted on the Cocoa Daisy blog this morning. I made something for this particular post. It's probably my fave thing I've ever made. I'm so excited about it, but can't add the photos **sad face time again**. So I had a last minute change of plan and blogged about my love of black pen and doodling.
You can read the post here.

Apart from the pc life is pretty good this week.
Kids are good, Hollie is lovely : ), weather is good, Work is busy and I'm loving having some help now, it's really made a difference and I've been baking lots.
I find that the baking is really good wind down time for me. I have to admit baking more than can be eaten and it does get thrown away at times.
I made the most delicious Blueberry loaf last night.
I adapted the recipe from the Hummingbird Cake Days Book.
I used natural yoghurt instead of soured cream and doubled the quantity that was meant to be the cream. I used slightly less sugar, extra blueberries and 2 big teaspoons of very good blueberry conserve. This gives it a lovely purpley colour throughout : )
Louis had a friend over for tea and it came out of the oven as they were eating so I served it hot with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend!!!
None of this one will go to waste I can assure you.
Blueberries have been on offer at Morrisons lately so we've had lots.
I made fresh blueberry and apple juice at breakfast this morning. Has to be one of the best juice combos ever.

Thank you for letting me ramble on.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me that my pc is up and running very very soon. I need to be fully back again. I miss it all so much.
Lots of love xxx

On the Bright Side

Hello!!
Long time no blog.
This title of my blog post seems very fitting right now.
I made the LO above using the MME 'Bright Side' collection and did the class at Paper Arts in Stroud last Saturday.
If you aren't familar with Paper Arts, take a peek here.
The store is just lovely. I was so so impressed. It has a real coziness to it and the town is beautiful.
The store is packed with goodies. It's not tiny either which I liked and has all the 'decent' brands too and the largest paper collection : )
I recommend a visit.

And whilst looking on the bright side, although things have been a little naff these past couple of weeks, what with the PC giving up and work being crazy busy and leaving me very little time for anything else it could have been so so much worse.
Yep, the pc died, but thankfully everything is backed up : )
And yep..work is super busy but lets be honest, I have a wedding business, it's supposed to be this time of year and if it wasn't, I wouldn't have been able to afford the new pc.
So it's not all bad.
I have a friend who has started working for me this week which has lifted loads from my worries and this weekend I plan to scrap, scrap and scrap.
I have so many deadlines, classes to plan and a lovely new Cocoa Daisy kit to leap into.
And I have butterflies just at the thought. So many new ideas : )

Wishing you a lovely weekend and thank you for visiting my rather dull of late blog.

Bad Week

Just popping in as I haven't forgotten my little blog.
Just having a bad week.
My pc has well and truly died and I'm working from hubs laptop for the time being.
Fortunately everything is saved on an external hardrive which today also has seemed to have packed in. Thankfully we have a back up. But fed up all the same.
But until I get a new pc I can't upload any pics : (

Plus I have a stinking cold. It started Sunday with a sore throat and now it'd everything.
I feel rotten.
Shame it's such a busy week, I wish I could just stay in bed.

I will be back again soon and will be back on form.
Distant hugs so I don;t pass on the germs

It's all about the Cupcakes

Hello.
Happy Sunday!!!
I'm having huge pc probs right now. It's been driving me potty all week.
I'm on the laptop right now but really struggle with it : (

I was just doing some Disney research : ) My fave kind of research and found this post all about Disney Cupcakes. I know not everyone shares my love for Disney, but I'm finding some of these cupcake ideas really inspiring and wanted to share them with you too.

http://www.disneytouristblog.com/disney-world-cupcakes/

Let me know what you think.
Visiting the Disney Bakery in The Boardwalk Resort is firmly in the itinery already. I might just have to buy some more Disney Bakeware this time too.

Sweet Sue asked about the Peaches in Cream Cupcakes I made a while ago.
Sue, they were so easy. Broken up tinned peaches on the bottom of the case with a vanilla batter poured over and baked. I made a vanilla frosting  but added in some whipped cream. That's my fave frosting. Makes it so light and takes away the over sweetness and buttery flavour. It's a cupcake to be eaten with a dessert fork : )

I'm planning on cupcake baking this afternoon.
We have a new cake store opened in Fleet near us. It's a fab store. Hollie and I bought some new colours to try in our frosting. I'm planning a vanilla cupcake with strawberry frosting and I really fancy some coffee cupcakes after reading the Disney Blog : )

I hope you are having a lovely Sunday.
Sorry for the non crafty blogpost today.

Loving Grafitti Bridge

Hiya,

I hope you had a good weekend. It's been a long one in the UK.
3 day weekends are just the best.

I have a couple more Cocoa Daisy 'Grafitti Bridge' LO's to share today.
This kit is so much fun. It sold out quicker than any other kit. Those of you that are waiting for it are in for such a treat.

I made this LO for the crop using Diana's sketch.

I had so much fun with this LO.
Lots of layering and doddling. My fave techniques right now.

I also made this LO for Sharmaine's challenge 'favourite things'.

We've had a really busy but fun weekend.
Hollie went to Disneyland Paris Friday night with her year group.
The buses left at 11.30pm and she got home about 11.45pm the next day.
She had so much fun and surprisingly came home chirpy and full of stories. I expected or rather braced myself for tired and grumpyness.
Louis had a friend over for a sleepover and they were dream kids. Went straight to sleep after lights out and slept until 7am.
Ade and I then had a 'Louis' day.
We went to the movies to see The Muppets and took him out for ribs, his fave.
The boys then enjoyed an afternoon of footy on TV, their teams were playing against each other.
I took some work into the family room and enjoyed the banter between them. It was really funny.
Ade was a good looser ; )

Yesterday was the May Fair and we went along despite the rain and helped out with our footy team an the burger stand. It was really fun and a great bunch of people.
So all in all a really good weekend.
Hope you had a fun one too : )

Journaling with Scraps

Hiya,

It's a quick one from me today.
A huge workload on right now and catching up after last nights migraine and Fedex damaging a tableplan I'd made Sunday/Monday and it needed remaking today #nothahappybunny.

I blogged over at Cocoa Daisy today.
It's all about my latest Art Journal.

You can find out what that's all about on Cocoa Daisy here.

Back to work for me now xx
